  • Admire the vibrant red carpet of fallen leaves
  • Watch a joint performance by the Noshiro City Folk Performing Arts Association
  • Explore the historical Kimimachi-zaka area

Details
The event takes place in the Kimimachi-zaka area, a location named in 1881 by Emperor Meiji after he was moved by its beauty. The area is known for the Byobu-iwa (screen rock), a symbol that towers around the plaza. During the first half of November, the area in front of the Koimono-jinja Shrine and the second plaza transforms into a bright red carpet of autumn leaves. Visitors can enjoy lunch at the food stalls and then take a stroll through the historic site. The event proceeds even in light rain, though the morning performance venue may change if it rains.
