Details
The festival offers a multi-sensory experience of Machida's history. It begins with a Historical Parade featuring cosplayers in traditional Japanese clothing and warriors in armor marching through the Machida Station area. In Serigaya Park, visitors can witness an impressive Artillery demonstration complete with gunfire sounds and gunpowder scents. The event includes tense Ancient Martial Arts Demonstrations and Iai sword drawing performances. Yabusame features horses galloping with arrows flying towards targets. A new Children's Armor Workshop allows participants to assemble their own armor and join the Historical Parade. This is the 17th year of the festival, now returning after a two-year break.
