This event is a Shichi-Go-San ceremony held at the Naritasan Shrine, dedicated to praying for the healthy growth of children. Participants gather to express gratitude for reaching significant milestones in life and pray for continued health and safety. A unique ritual specific to this November ceremony is the "Five-Colored Reed Gate (Chino-wa) Passage." During this ritual, participants pass through a large gate woven from reeds to purify their minds and bodies. The five colors of the gate represent the Five Wisdom Buddhas, symbolizing the benefits of wisdom.
