About this event

Summary
A traditional archery ceremony involving the use of a half-bow to hit three targets.

Details
The event begins with a priest riding a specially prepared platform and circling it three times to purify the horse track. Next, a precursor dressed in a hemp ceremonial robe and a conical hat rides the platform three times before scattering Hinomaru fans in designated areas at a brisk pace. Finally, a main rider wearing hunting attire from the Muromachi period forms a stance shooting in all four directions under the worship hall, rides around the high platform three times, and gallops to break the three targets with a half-bow.
