Details
The event introduces the charms of Japanese tea through various activities. Visitors can compare bancha, sencha, and gyokuro to understand differences in history and production. A matcha experience booth allows beginners to prepare tea with staff guidance. A special session led by Akiko Yabuta invites guests to draw a card with a word or question to rediscover time with tea. Seated events include brewing tea at different temperatures to find favorites, learning about good luck tea, creating harmony with karesansui, and a modern tea kabuki experience. Other sessions cover tea blending, exploring Sayama tea, comparing traditional and Ginza-grown tea with a rooftop garden tour, and tea time styling. Tea and tableware from Fukuju-en, Uedaen Kurokawa Seicha, and eterble will be sold, alongside original sweets from Ginza's famous shops. The event is organized by the Japan Tea Ambassador Association and Matsuya Ginza with collaboration from Fukujuen Co., Ltd.
