Details
The exhibition features recent works depicting a mythological world composed of the self, skulls, and goddesses, reflecting the artist's perspective on life and death gained through depression. Wounds are not erased but are painted, destroyed, reconstructed, and solidified with resin to transform into a hard, lustrous radiance. The event includes discussions and a symposium involving experts in aesthetics, cognitive science, and artificial life to experiment with a new format where artworks, the artist, viewers, and AI interact. The artist, Keiichi Baba, has been creating the "RESIN: Death and Rebirth" series since 2023 using cardboard and resin.
