The 15th Shimokitazawa Curry Festival 2026 celebrates its milestone with a special collaboration with Sega Corporation's Puyo Puyo and Sonic, both marking their 35th anniversaries. The event features a main visual combining characters Arle, Carbuncle, Sonic, and the official mascot Curry-man. The festival takes place across 135 restaurants in Shimokitazawa, including 110 curry specialists, cafes, bars, and other food venues, offering diverse culinary experiences. A free stamp rally allows participants to collect stamps for food, drinks, and products to redeem curry-related prizes, with a limited-edition T-shirt available for 25 stamps. The Link Park serves as a gathering space for fans. An opening ceremony is held at Flowers Loft live house featuring a talk show with Setagaya Ward Mayor Hosaka, curry researchers Ichijo Monko and Spicy Maruyama, and live performances by Curry Man, Minor Girl, and JaccaPoP. Collaboration menus inspired by the games are available at participating stores.
