  • Exclusive Japanese presentation featuring domestic works and items held in Japan not seen in the London exhibition.
  • Comprehensive timeline tracing fashion evolution from the late 18th century to 2025 haute couture.

Details
The exhibition explores the innovative spirit and personality of Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France, who profoundly influenced fashion, design, and cinema from the 18th century to the present. It delves into the "style" she established in every aspect of her life, using her attire and interior design as clues. The event offers a unique opportunity to view items formerly owned by the queen, court dresses from the era, and contemporary works by creators inspired by her legacy. To enhance the visitor experience, the venue features original exhibition merchandise, special collaborations unique to Yokohama, an ice cream cart for refreshments, and a dedicated corner introducing the atmosphere of the French Revolution. Canon sponsors the event and hosts a free "Canon Museum Campus" program for university students on a day the museum is normally closed, aiming to foster an interest in the arts among young people.
