alter. 2026, Tokyo is a project where creators from diverse disciplines form teams to update the value of product design. Selected through a rigorous review process by leading committee members in the global design scene, the event presents 12 projects comprising 55 creators. The event includes an exhibition of collaborative projects, a circuit program connecting prototypes to daily life, a lounge for interaction with furniture and objects, and an award selection by international committee members. Activities are documented and shared through an archive book and the official website's journal, presenting new possibilities for product design in the modern era. The event is organized by the alter. Executive Committee and supported by the Arts Council Tokyo.
