About this event
SummaryLoopntale's exhibition 'Araboda' explores human-nonhuman-technology relationships through interactive installations and the game 'Feed'.
Highlights
- First major presentation in Japan for the Seoul-based artist duo Loopntale.
- Centrepiece: 'Feed', a game installation developed over three years based on research in Tancheon, Seoul.
- Interactive workshops and video games exploring marginalized beings and unnoticed environments.
- Concept of 'Araboda': recognizing existing connections through active engagement and embodied encounter.
The exhibition, organized by Civic Creative Base Tokyo in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, follows residencies in Tokyo in May and July 2026. It expands on the world of 'Feed' to introduce an imagined environment inhabited by unknown beings that respond to human emotions. The event invites visitors to explore new possibilities for relating to the world, addressing themes of interconnectedness between humans, nonhumans, and technology. The title 'Araboda' is a Korean compound verb meaning to notice, recognize, or look into, emphasizing an active way of encountering the world.
