Details
The exhibition, titled "AMBIENT KYOTO - TOKYO," originates from Kyoto and focuses on the concept of "ambience." It showcases the installation piece based on Ryuichi Sakamoto's 2017 album "async." The work consists of video by Shiro Takatani and spatial sound by ZAK. The video responds to the sound but is not perfectly synchronized, creating an immersive experience where music, visuals, and space become one. This is a solo exhibition using the concept of "installation music" where guests can feel sound three-dimensionally. A special evening event will feature ochayoi, a tea culture community, offering free Chinese tea and opportunities for shared encounters and dialogue with the artwork. On October 2nd, the recurring music event "Roka Ongaku" will take place in the corridors, allowing ticket holders to re-enter the main exhibition to enjoy both experiences together. The event is organized by the AMBIENT KYOTO Executive Committee (TOW / Traffic).
