DESIGNART TOKYO is a unique, roaming event held throughout Tokyo, showcasing a diverse range of presentations encompassing design, art, interior design, fashion, and technology. Since its launch in 2017, it has grown into one of Japan's largest design and art festivals, attracting approximately 250,000 visitors over the years. This year's theme, "Hibiki" (meaning "resonance" or "echo"), explores how sounds, colors, materials, and various actions and entities resonate beyond a specific location, transcending time and distance. These resonances not only manifest in visible forms but also linger as emotions and memories. In contemporary design, creations no longer exist in isolation. They gain meaning and significance through harmonious relationships with diverse people, industries, generations, cultures, and societies, resonating and expanding outwards. In Tokyo, where history and innovation intersect, even the smallest expressions can create unexpected resonances, leading to the creation of new value through active dialogue. "Hibiki" poses a fundamental question: How can we create things that will be cherished and endure through the ages? And how can we engage with our own hearts, practicing unique and original creations that stem from our passions? Through this theme, DESIGNART TOKYO re-examines the essential possibilities of design and art. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, a special "10th Anniversary Logo" has been created and will be featured across various platforms, including social media, signage, and promotional materials.
