The festival commemorates the 75th anniversary of the opening of Kawasaki Port, aiming to deepen understanding and foster a sense of closeness to the port under the theme "Everyone's Kawasaki Port." The event features a variety of programs including stages, food stalls, and content allowing visitors of all ages to experience the charm of Kawasaki Port in a fun way. The Nippon Maru, built in 1984 as a replacement for the original vessel that trained maritime professionals for over 50 years, is 110.09 meters long with a gross tonnage of 2,570 tons. It is actively in service and demonstrates Japan's shipbuilding technology through daily navigation training and international port calls.
