The event features the "Sakuta no Unade Light-Up," where the historic irrigation canal, mentioned in the "Nihon Shoki" (Japanese Chronicles), is dramatically lit with lanterns crafted from paper and bamboo. Additionally, a one-day art tour called "Minami Hata Art Walk" takes place in Minami Hata, a lush satoyama village where many artists and writers maintain their studios.
