Details
Taiping Lake is an artificial lake created by the completion of the Moriyoshi Dam. It features a circumference of 30 km, an area of 195 hectares, and a depth of 58 meters. The lake is fed by 13 valleys and streams and is home to various fish species including cherry salmon, iwana, carp, and wakasagi. Visitors can enjoy shuttle taxi boats and nature cruises that guide them from fresh greenery in June to the beautiful autumn foliage in October. The beautiful autumn leaves reflected on the lake surface can be enjoyed from the boat. Shared taxis (Yonezawasawa Taxi) are available from Ani Maeda station on the Nairiku Line.
