The Sawara Grand Festival, also known as the Sawara Autumn Festival, is a vibrant spectacle held over three days. It showcases 14 large floats decorated with life-sized dolls created by renowned artisans. The event takes place in Koedo, a nationally designated important traditional building preservation area that resembles a historical scroll. Visitors can experience the festival live by watching the floats parade or by purchasing premium seating plans at the Hotel NIPPONIA in Sawara. The premium plan includes a view from a building designated as a tangible cultural property by Chiba Prefecture, a traditional bento-style meal of Japanese-French cuisine, and free-flowing drinks.
