Details
The event is the Shinkosai, a festival long praised as the Matsudo Grand Festival. For the first time in 11 years since 2015, the festival is held in its original form following years of scaling down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The main feature is a divine procession involving 400 people dressed in traditional attire carrying portable shrines and ceremonial objects. The parade covers a distance of approximately 5 km, traversing the former Matsudo post town area spanning east and west of Matsudo Station.
