This unique event is a joint project between the Environmental Science Department of Hyogo Prefectural Mikage High School and the Kobe City Forest Botanical Garden. The Environmental Science Department is a specialized high school club in Japan, established in 2008, dedicated to the study of fungi (mycology). The exhibition showcases a collection of mushroom specimens found in the Rokko mountain range. Related activities include the 11th Annual Mushroom Festival on September 22nd and an exhibition explanation session led by Mikage High School students on October 25th.
