About this event

Summary
An elegant and unique religious ceremony at Konpira Shrine (Kotohira Shrine) held amidst the autumn foliage of the Setouchi region to pray for the prosperity of the nation and happiness of people worldwide.

Details
This special ritual celebrates the arrival of beautiful autumn as the area transforms into a tapestry of vibrant colors. Due to recent climate change and global warming making it difficult to hold the procession at the appropriate time, the traditional procession will not be conducted this year. The festival will be held only at the main shrine.
