About this event
SummaryExplore a unique exhibition where ceramic clay birds blur the lines between reality and imagination, inspired by a traditional Japanese confectionery mold.
Details
The event features a miniature forest created by Tonobori Hyokoya, an artist known for works resembling real birds. The display includes both realistic ceramic birds and imaginative creatures. The concept originated from a wooden mold for chick buns (wagashi) received from a traditional Japanese confectionery shop. Instead of sweets, the mold produced small, round birds made of clay. Each bird is shaped, fired, and painted with unique colors and patterns. Visitors are invited to stroll through this small forest to discover their favorite bird. The exhibition is titled "Awa no Mori" (Forest of Imagination).
