Yukio Horio, born in 1946 in Hiroshima City, is a leading figure in stage design with a career spanning over 700 performances. The exhibition showcases his work across various genres, including operas, NODA MAP productions led by Hideki Noda, stage works by Koki Mitani and Yukichi Miyata, Miyuki Nakajima's "Yakai," and Shinosuke Tachikawa's "Shinosuke Rakugo." The collection offers a glimpse behind the scenes of stage design, featuring materials from diverse productions and thematic works connected to the atomic bombing, honoring Horio's birthplace and historical context.
