Details
The event, titled "Why USA!? ~Super Smile! German Village, Heading to America~", transforms the venue into a museum-like experience where visitors can immerse themselves in light art. The theme recreates American culture, including music, movies, street culture, space science, and entertainment, through light and interactive experiences. The illumination features a vibrant Las Vegas casino street on a giant ground painting, where pulling a giant lever at the "VEGAS JACKPOT SLOT!" can trigger a spectacular display of lights and sounds if a 7-7-7 jackpot is achieved. The Space Frontier section features a large-scale representation of NASA's space development, including an interactive giant lantern that creates a rocket launch experience with sound and light effects when a countdown button is pressed. The Route 66 section expresses the famous road through road gobos and neon signs, while the Encounter with the Unknown spot allows visitors to have their photo taken experiencing an "abduction" where lights shine down from a UFO. The event also includes a "sensory experience" blending fantastical Chinese lanterns with authentic Chinese food stalls, building upon the previous "Chinese Lantern Festival". Akari Shirouchi has been appointed as the event's public relations ambassador, and a formal ceremony will be held to present her with the official appointment. The event is designed to be highly Instagrammable and experiential, offering a fantastical night view experience as if lost in another world.
