About this event

Summary
The Swedish indie legends The Wannadies return to Japan after a 26-year hiatus for a special anniversary concert.

Highlights
  • First return to Japan since 1988 following a breakup and reformation.
  • Special event organized by Club Wonder Osaka for its 19th anniversary.
  • Opening act by Lovely Summer Chan, who initiated the reunion request.

Details
The Wannadies, known for hits like "You and Me Song" and "My Home Town," are front runners of the early indie and power pop scenes from northern Sweden. Their return to Japan was sparked by a throwaway comment from Lovely Summer Chan, a UK performer who opened for the band in 2022. After returning to Osaka, she expressed a wish to see them perform again, leading bar managers and regulars to organize a mini concert promo team to book the shows. The event features the Wannadies and Lovely Summer Chan performing at Umeda Club Quattro in Osaka and Shibuya Club Quattro in Tokyo. Advance tickets are priced at 9,500 JPY via ePlus, while door tickets are 10,000 JPY. Both ticket types require an additional payment for one drink at the door.
