Details
This event is part of the 63rd Fukuoka Citizen Arts Festival and the Higashi Ward Arts and Culture Festival. It features a special collaboration between professional narrator Kanako Kojima and Taku Kuroda, a biwa player and descendant of the Heike clan from Hokkaido. The program includes readings of Akutagawa's "The Spider's Thread" and "Rashomon" accompanied by the biwa. Additionally, a descendant of the Heike clan will perform the biwa storytelling "The Tale of the Earless Hoichi" (Miminashi Hōichi). The event concludes with a biwa experience corner where attendees can try playing the instrument.
