Details
The exhibition showcases the exceptional private collection amassed by Hara Anzō (1884-1982), a prominent business figure. The collection is highly regarded for its quality and quantity, particularly its extensive series of landscape paintings. Visitors can experience the rich atmosphere of the Edo period through vibrant woodblock prints, many retaining their beautiful indigo colors. The event includes valuable original paintings, such as those formerly owned by the American William Bigelow, alongside the renowned 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji' series. The display allows guests to appreciate the significant differences in composition between the two masters when depicting the same landscapes.
