Details
This event is a series of processions held during the annual festivals of Higashi-Fushimi Inari Taisha, Yudono-jinja, and Ootori-jinja. It is commonly referred to as the "Daimyo Gyoretsu" because it resembles the sankin-kotai system where feudal lords traveled to the capital. The Mikyou Gyoretsu, also known as the O-yuki Gyoretsu, is a specific procession passed down since the late Edo period.
