Details
The event is a significant cultural tradition held annually. It begins on the first day with the 'Oshita' procession, starting from the main shrine. Participants include three portable shrines, a lion dance troupe, a priest on a sacred horse, and dancers from various districts. The route follows National Route 204, passing through the Shika-machi and San-ga-machi arcades, before reaching a temporary shrine established in Matsuura Park. On the third day, the 'Okanari' (or 'O-agari') procession returns to the main shrine, retracing the path in reverse. The festival showcases deep-rooted local customs and community participation.
