About this event

Summary
A crossover exhibition celebrating the beauty and culture of Japanese swords.

Details

This exhibition is a collaboration between the Sano Art Museum (known as 'Sano-bi') and the Tokugawa Art Museum (known as 'Toku-bi'). The Sano Art Museum has been organizing diverse sword exhibitions since its opening in 1966. The Tokugawa Art Museum preserves and showcases masterpieces, primarily focusing on items passed down through the Owari Tokugawa family. The two museums have joined forces to present this exhibition, which introduces the beauty and culture of Japanese swords through their renowned collections. Japanese swords have been cherished throughout history not only as weapons but also as sacred and beautiful treasures, or as valuable assets.
