Sachiko Kazama (born 1972) presents a collection of monochrome woodblock prints that explore the contradictions and discomforts of Japanese society shaped by modernization. Her work addresses significant events such as the Olympics and nuclear power, alongside familiar daily scenes like schools, weaving these societal occurrences into her art with unique humor and sharp critique. This exhibition showcases her recent large woodblock prints and marks her first time exhibiting oil paintings, a new medium she is currently exploring.
