Details
This event occurs approximately twice a year for about 10 days when the sunset aligns with the southwest direction. The setting sun shines directly through the canal entrance at Mikawa-ko Port, creating a breathtaking 'Path of Light' that illuminates the shipping route in gold. This miraculous phenomenon appears for only about 15 minutes when specific weather conditions align. Normally off-limits cliffs and the restricted quay will be specially opened to the public this year, allowing visitors to capture more photogenic scenery. Please note that the event may be cancelled in case of rain, and there may be entry restrictions for safety measures.
