The theme for 2026 emphasizes the connection between the reader and the text. The special feature on Korean poetry highlights its significance in modern literature for questioning social realities and individual emotions. Notable participants include Kim Hye-soon, a leading contemporary Korean poet who has received numerous international literary awards, and Park Jong-min, the lead actor in the acclaimed film Face directed by Yong Sang-ho. Kim So-young, author of the 8th Japan Translation Award-winning work Mary Jogak, will also participate. The pre-event on November 20th will feature Mary Jogak, a Korean reading performance team combining poetry readings with sound, at the YUKUIDO workshop in Ueno, Tokyo. The main festival includes appearances by actors and publishers such as Park Jong-min and Mun Jeong-hee. A book sales area will be set up on the 3rd floor event space of the Sanshin-do Bookstore Jinbocho Main Branch in addition to the usual location at the Publishing Club building. ROUTE BOOKS, located nearby, will be selling related books during the pre-event.
