About this event

Summary
Public exhibition of the preserved interior of the Hiroshima A-bomb tram.

Details
The Hiroshima Electric Railway 650 series streetcar (number 654) survived the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945, and continued running through the city until June 2006. The exterior was restored to its original appearance from the time of the bombing in 2015 to commemorate the 70th anniversary, while the interior has been preserved in its original condition from when it was retired. Visitors can see the streetcar that shared the journey of Hiroshima's recovery. Please note that access to the driver's cabin is not permitted.
