Highlights
- Live performance by Tsugaru shamisen player Sho Asano
- Collaboration with jazz pianist Mao Sone
- Pre-concert workshop experience
Details
This event features a special stage where the traditional Japanese lute, Tsugaru shamisen, intertwines with jazz. The concert showcases the genre-defying performance style of Sho Asano, who is active worldwide. The collaboration aims to create a unique musical experience by weaving together these two distinct genres. Prior to the main performance, a Tsugaru Shamisen Workshop is available for attendees to learn about the instrument and its techniques. The workshop runs from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and has a participation fee of 500 yen. To participate in the workshop, attendees must select the 'Ticket with Workshop' or 'Experience Ticket' option when purchasing their concert tickets. This event offers a rare opportunity to experience the fusion of traditional Japanese culture and modern jazz music in a live setting.
