Details

Akira Sakata, a world-renowned jazz saxophonist, returns to Onomichi to share his fascination with tiny organisms. He has traveled extensively to places like the Himalayas, Mongolia, and Lake Titicaca to observe these creatures rather than perform. The event features a talk where he discusses the life cycle, diversity, and philosophical significance of these transparent organisms, alongside a solo saxophone performance. Live images of the organisms will be projected onto a screen for attendees to observe during the lecture. The event is co-organized by the NPO Onomichi Abandoned House Regeneration Project and sponsored by local educational and broadcasting institutions. An additional fee of 500 yen per person is required for a drink upon entry. Registration is mandatory for students due to limited capacity.
